You will see rainforest open dry Outback Australia. Check out the views and eyes always ready to spot Kangaroos in the wild.
A short 30 minute trip on our coutesy bus from Townsville, we are located at the top of Herveys Range opposite the multi-award winning Hervey's Range Heritage Tea Rooms, we operate two Quad Bike ATV Tours Weekends and every Wednesday, with tours departing at 9.00am and 1.00pm. Our guides are fully accredited to ensure that everyone from first time riders to the experienced enjoy the adventure of Herveys Range Quad Bikes. So lets get dirty.
We cater for just about everyone, beginners, backpackers, from the most experienced to junior adventurers* even for those who want to bring their own Quad Bike. We will take you on a track to suit your ability. Our Quad Bikes include 6 x 250cc Honda Quads, 2 x 90cc Honda Quads for younger riders and the more petite, as well as a 4 seater 4x4 diff lock "Mule" for those who wish to ride with the guide and take in the tour without having to ride a bike*.
Quad Bike Tours
Your day starts at Quad Bike Central, where you will undergo a brief but detailed safety demonstration. Safety is most important and our demonstration will show you how to have fun while still being safe and responsible.
After the short safety demonstration it is on to the Quad Bikes and off to our test track where you will get to know your Quad Bike and the terrain. Most people are happy with this track alone, but wait...there's more. For the first timers we are now trained and ready for the rest of the adventure.
We are off to discover the beauty and wonders of the mountain range, including a trip to the famous Robinson's Lookout across the old Greenvale Rail Line and Tunnels toward Townsville, Magnetic Island and the Coral Sea.
What To Bring
Because we promote safety every step of the way, there are some items that you are required to bring to enjoy the Herveys Range Quad Bikes.
These are:
- Long Pants (preferred but not mandatory)
- Closed In Shoes - no thongs or sandals
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- A spirit for fun and adventure
It is also recommended that you bring:
- Spare Clothes (it can get muddy or dusty or in between!)

16 years and older $145
10 to 15 years on a 90cc quad $110
Passengers from 7 years in the "Mule" $80
What's Included
Morning tours include pickup from predefined pickup locations around the Townsville area. Morning and afternoon tea is provided following each tour.
All other Safety Equipment and training is supplied by Herveys Range Quad Bikes
